Poetic License

Bopping to the rhythms and beats

Crushing hard on Lance Bass

Wishing he wasn’t in love with that girl from “On The Line”

Laughing about it years later

Surprise, we’re both Queer and still here

Or sipping on a virgin Pina Colada as the Beach Boys relax me

As a child of the 90s I love my boy bands

But my heart and soul have always moved more with the girl bands

Surprise, I’m a girl

Pink in and out

With more than a enough spice

The girls got my tiny hips moving

My vocal chords sore from belting their lyrics

And if you look past the fridge you’ll find a photo of me in my Victoria Posh Spice glory

But not always so sweet and nice
